This short interactive 360-video training app gives non-critical care staff immersive insight into the environment, equipment and procedures used in the care of a patient recovering from COVID 19 who is on invasive ventilation. It includes a high definition 360 still image tour of the room, visual hot spot menus for quick access to locations and a True False Self Check quiz. It can be accessed on mobile phones and PCs. Accessing the app on your mobile phone – Minimum requirement iOS 9 or Android 5.0
(not compatible with iPads or Android tablet devices)
- Find and install the Wonda VR app on your device from the iPhone App Store or Android Play Store.
- Open the app and select the Main Menu icon – the three line icon in the top left corner.
- Select the Via QR code option.
- Scan this QR code image.
- Select the first viewing mode at the bottom of the screen to see the experience on just your phone. You can move the device around or drag the picture around with your finger.
- To view the experience on a Google Cardboard headset you need to select the two eyed cardboard icon and then place the phone in the headset with the middle line on the screen lined up with the centre of the viewing area. With the headset on you make selections by moving your gaze to place the white dot over an option.
360 video from the app is available on YouTube – best experienced with the settings on the highest quality resolution in the YouTube app. This also can be viewed in VR by selecting the two eyed cardboard icon and placing your phone in a Google Cardboard headset.
Accessing the app on a PC
The experience can be viewed on a PC in a compatible browser such as Firefox, Chrome or Microsoft Edge with a good Wi-Fi connection, via this link.
